I am thrilled to share some exciting news: this Friday, I will be hosting an interactive workshop at Art Dubai, titled Writing the Self.

In the heart of one of the world’s most vibrant art fairs, we return to the most powerful creative tool we possess: the personal narrative.

The Workshop: Writing the Self

What transforms a memory, emotion, or even a fleeting thought into a powerful, evocative story? In this interactive workshop, I am inviting participants to explore storytelling as a tool for creativity, connection, and self-expression.

Through thoughtful writing prompts and guided exercises, attendees will experiment with voice, perspective, and personal narrative while learning how to turn fragments of experience into meaningful stories. Whether you write regularly or are simply curious about the creative process, this workshop offers an opportunity to reconnect with your creativity and discover fresh ways of expressing yourself.

The Architecture of Our Stories

Throughout my journey- from the deep research & filming journey for my novel, Yassini Girls and documenting my family history that was almost lost to time – I’ve learned that storytelling is much more than putting words on a page. It can be an act of reclamation. It can be a way to envision the future.

Set in an intimate, screen-free environment, this session will be a sanctuary for quiet reflection and bold experimentation. We will focus on the tactile power of the handwritten word, using custom-designed prompts to help you navigate your own creative landscape.
