Book Tour: Jasmine Falling author returns to Palestine, December 2017

Shereen is returning to Palestine in December 2017 to discuss her novel, Jasmine Falling.

“I am looking forward to being able to share my novel and what better place to do this, than in the land that inspired it.”

This trip is especially poignant for the author, who returns to Palestine, two years after the novel’s publication for the first book tour. Since publication, her novel has become one of the top twenty best books by Muslim women, as voted by her readers which is what makes it such an important accolade for the author.

“With so many writers struggling to be accepted by the status quo, the publishing platforms now available for writers, show that the readers will decide what narratives they want to read.”

Shereen will be meeting fans and students in the hope that her work can inspire others to write their own narratives and become the voices of the future. An advocate for writers who want to write about their heritage and culture, Shereen launched Literary Revolution Writer’s Group to nurture and support new writers.

“It is so important that we encourage others to write about their experiences. Our books leave behind moments in time that are otherwise lost to history, or the interpretation of others.”

Shereen is currently completing her English Literature & Creative Writing B.A and is working on short stories for a published anthology collection, and her second novel. She also writes and speaks, for various organisations on the representation of Muslim women.
